Description:
This unit presents the fundamental concepts of fluid behaviour, both under simple mechanical conditions, and when subject to the action of heat. Lectures, tutorial sessions and laboratory work are all utilised in giving the student the ability to analyse basic thermofluid systems. The unit may be considered either as a general basic course in thermofluids, or as an introductory course to further specialisation in the field.

Assessment is by assignments and end of semester examination.
Prerequisite(s): 60041.
